Fund Manager Leaves Schroders After 12 Years

The London-listed wealth and asset management house has confirmed a senior departure from its equities team.
Jamie Lowry, Schroders’ European Equity Alpha fund manager, has stepped down after 12 years at the company to “pursue other opportunities”, the company confirmed.
Lowry joined Schroders in 2004 from Deutsche Asset Management as European equities analyst before becoming a fund manager in 2010. He is lead fund manager of the Schroder ISF European Equity Alpha fund and co-manager of the Schroder Global Equity Income, Schroder ISF Global Dividend Maximiser and Schroder ISF Global Equity Yield funds.
“We thank Lowry for his contribution over the past 12 years and wish him well for the future,” said a Schroders spokesperson.
Lowry’s responsibilities will be shared across the team, while the global yield portfolios will continue to be managed by Ian Kelly, who worked alongside Lowry. In addition, Andrew Lyddon and Andrew Evans will become the named managers on European yield portfolios alongside Kelly and co-managers on the European Equity Alpha portfolio.
There are no planned changes to the investment objectives or investment process of any impacted funds, the company said.
As reported earlier this month, Michael Dobson, Schroders’ chief executive for the last 15 years, is due to leave his post next month. He will be replaced by equities head Peter Harrison.
