Brokerage Firm Signs Deal With Tennis Star

The firm has joined other financial institutions to sponsor sports stars, as money in the sector continues to grow.

Brokerage firm FXTM has completed a sponsorship deal with Women’s Tennis Association champion Dominika Cibulkova. This is the third sporting sponsorship for the broker this year.

Sponsorship deals between sports figures and financial firms occur regularly and FXTM believe this will help them continue its challenger brand to become a prominent force in the FX industry, the firm said in a statement.

Cibulkova is currently seeded ninth in the WTA singles rankings, and last year she won the WTA finals in Singapore, becoming the fourth player in history to win the tournament on their debut.

“We are a client-centric broker, our focus has always been on providing our traders with the tools they need to be as successful as possible,” said Martin Lamming, global head of marketing. “Our success to date has been driven by similar principles as those that determine success in tennis. Tennis requires precision, focus and training. To succeed, you need the very best tools, both mentally and physically – that’s something both Dominika and FXTM know very well.”

The tennis star also spoke about her new partnership with the brokerage firm.

Dominika said: “I have dedicated my career to developing my skills and playing the best tennis I can - and I am still learning. It is a philosophy FXTM and I have in common, and it is the reason why I am so proud to partner with this global brand for the 2017 season.”
