Societe Generale Hires Air Force General As Chief Security Officer

The new hire became chief inspector of the armed services in 2015.
French-based bank Societe Generale
has appointed Antoine Creux as chief security officer,
effective 1 October. In a time where cyber-security seems to be
at the forefront of the financial services industry, as cybercrime has
been called the greatest risk to banks, SocGen has
decided to improve its security with a the hiring of a CSO.
Creux will report to the corporate secretary's office and
will also become a member of the group's management
committee, the bank said in a statement.
He will be responsible for ensuring that Societe
Generale continues to adopt appropriate strategic and operational
answers to protect the group’s assets. He will work with the
public authorities, and public institutions to improve and ensure
the quality of the group's security.
The new CSO has been a general in the French air force. He became
chief inspector of the country's armed services in 2015.
