Coutts Charitable Project Unlocks Treasure Trove Of Talent

Coutts, the flagship wealth management brand of Royal Bank of Scotland, has brought together the cream of British jewellery designers, artists and luxury brands for an innovative new charity project called “Beautiful Boxes”.

For the project, 21 unique jewellery boxes have been created by big names like Theo Fennelll and Paul Smith; these will be auctioned on eBay for charity between 14 and 24 March.

The charitable causes to benefit will be the The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts and Holts Academy of Jewellery. The former is an arts engagement programme that aims to open up the world of the arts to disadvantaged children, the latter a government-approved apprenticeship scheme for young jewellers in the UK.

“This campaign was launched as a fundraising project that would champion the best of British design excellence today, while harnessing the artistic talent of future generations. We are extremely grateful to those who have given their time and we are confident that these unique handcrafted boxes will go on to become treasures of the future,” Michael Morley, chief executive of Coutts and Co, said in a statement.
