City Financial Partners With Research Firm For Launch Of New Service

UK Fund manager City Financial and research firm Scopic Research have teamed up for the launch of a new service.
UK Fund manager City Financial and
research firm Scopic Research have
teamed up for the launch of a new
service.
Scopic will be providing independent multi-manager research for
City Financial via its web-based fund research service called the
Adviser Centre, City said in a statement.
The Adviser Centre will be launched next month and the free tool
provides recommendations and enhanced support for
advisors. City Financial first announced plans to build the
research service in November last year.
The Adviser Centre is being developed by investment director
Peter Toogood and head of investment research Gill Hutchison.
Material and information on third-party funds will be provided
along with general market and industry commentary. In addition,
around 100 established, actively-managed funds will be
recommended by City Financial that meet its criteria on
investment quality, utility and cost.
“As a dedicated multi-manager research consultancy, our due
diligence-style qualitative reports and ratings are designed to
give financial advisors a genuine information advantage
when selecting multi-manager solutions for their clients. Working
with City Financial to offer this service through
The Adviser Centre strengthens that information advantage,” said
Paul Ilott, managing director of Scopic Research.
