Old Mutual Global Investors Hires Fund Manager From Ignis

Old Mutual Global Investors has hired Ian Ormiston in the newly created European Smaller Companies fund manager position.

Old Mutual Global Investors has hired Ian Ormiston in the newly created European Smaller Companies fund manager position. 

The ex-Ignis fund manager reports to Richard Buxton – head of UK equities -  and will launch the new European Smaller Companies fund.
 
“I am delighted that Ian has agreed to join us. I believe that his appointment is good news for our clients and for our own team. Ian brings a wealth of industry knowledge having spent over 20 years investing in UK and European markets.  His experience and skills will greatly complement those which we currently have in my team,” said Buxton.

The 16 strong UK and European equities team manages over £4.8 billion ($7.7 billion) of assets under management for global clients.
