Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management?

Here is a round-up of latest moves in wealth management across North America.

Fiduciary Trust
Fiduciary Trust Company, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, has appointed Paulina Mejia as a regional managing director. Mejia will also become head of its New York office and trust counsel, the firm said in a statement.

She will be responsible for overseeing the company’s private wealth business in New York, with a focus on building the business in the Greater New York region. She will also work directly with high net worth clients to develop and implement charitable, estate and wealth transfer plans. Mejia will also serve as a member of the firm’s operating committee. Most recently, she served as head of Atlantic Trust’s wealth strategies group and as senior wealth strategist in the firm’s New York office.

US Bank
US Bank has appointed Daniel Wani as market leader of its high net worth division Private Wealth Management. He will be based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Wani will lead a team of wealth management professionals providing investment management, private banking, trust and estate services and wealth planning to high net worth clients in both Nevada and Arizona. He will report to Mary Martuscelli, west region president of Private Wealth Management.

Union Bank
Union Bank  appointed Harold Rhee to its wealth markets team as a vice president and Wealth Management Consultant. Based in San Francisco, Rhee reports to Jason P Liu, head of wealth planning, and director of sales development and training. 

Rhee previously worked at Fidelity Investments where he was a regional planning consultant. He brings more than 19 years of financial services experience. Rhee began his career as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley where he held various roles in Northern California including sales manager, branch manager, and complex business development manager.  

In May, Union Bank announced appointments of Tyler Brasfield and Lawrence Parente who joined the private wealth management team in San Francisco as private wealth advisors.

US Trust
Arizona
Annette Stertzer joined the Phoenix office as a senior trust officer. She previously worked at JP Morgan as a private client banker. Craig Hyatt has joined the Phoenix office as a private client advisor. He previously worked at Wells Fargo Private Bank as a Wealth Advisor.

California
David Hodge joined the Los Angeles office as a regional fiduciary officer. He previously worked at Loeb & Loeb as an attorney/associate.

Colorado
Paul Murray joined the Denver office as a PCA. He previously worked at JP Morgan as a private banker.

Delaware
Regina Matozzo has joined the Wilmington office as a regional fiduciary officer. She previously worked at Ferry Joseph, PA as an attorney/associate.

Florida
Gregory Ekizian was appointed at the Jacksonville office as a portfolio manager. He previously worked at Victory Capital Management in a similar role.

Georgia
Nicholas Fray has joined the Atlanta office as a specialty asset manager. He previously worked at Weyerhaeser as a planning forrester.

Illinois
James Wiehe has joined the Chicago office as a PCA. He previously worked at Wells Fargo as a director.

Massachusetts
Maryann Knight Ekberg has joined the Boston office as a PCA. She previously worked at Wells Fargo Private Bank as a MD.

Minnesota
Bryan Benedict has joined the Minneapolis office as a PCA. He previously worked at Minnesota Bank and Trust as a private banker.
Derek Weatherford has joined the Minneapolis office as a PCA. He previously worked at Alliance Bernstein as a financial advisor.

New Jersey
Alexander Matovski has joined the Glen Rock office as a PCA. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley as a private banker.

New York
Ross Peet has joined the New York office as a PCA. He previously worked at Fieldpoint as a MD.

Ryan Casper has joined the New York office as an investment manager research specialist. He previously worked at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority as an investment manager.

Texas
Jean Champagne has joined the Houston office as a PCA. He previously worked at SWEGS Kitchen, LLC as CFO and general counsel.

Global Infrastructure Partners
Jennifer Powers will join in September as a partner and chair of GIP's credit business. Powers work with GIP Partner Jon Bram and GIP CAPS Fund managing partners Reiner Boehning and Steve Cheng. Powers joins from Mizuho Bank where she was co-head of investment grade debt capital markets. Prior to Mizuho, she was a founding member of the Royal Bank of Scotland's credit markets Business. Powers also spent 12 years in the energy investment banking and capital markets departments of Credit Suisse.
