Carmignac Gestion, the French asset manager, has taken on Emmanuel Litique as client development manager for Northern Germany.

Litique reports to Kai Volkmann, head of country in Germany and Austria. He has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, seven of which were spent at Morningstar in Frankfurt where he eventually took on the role head of sales for Germany, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe.

"With the recent hiring of one office manager, two additional client development managers and the opening of its office in Frankfurt January 2012, Carmignac Gestion confirms its long-term commitment to this strategic market and strengthens its local presence through a tailor-made regional approach," the firm said in a statement.

In a related move, in August Cora Pfab was appointed as sales manager for Southern Germany and Austria.

Carmignac Gestion has over €50 billion (about $64.5 billion) of assets under management. The firm was founded in 1989 by Edouard Carmignac.
