Farrer & Co Hawthorne will be based in Jersey and will report directly to Stefan Flachsmann, Stonehage Fleming’s Global Head of Financial Services. Hawthorne will be taking over from Graeme Gill who has decided to step down as head of treasury services in April to assume a senior relationship manager role within Stonehage Fleming Group Financial Services. “We are extremely happy to be able to retain Graeme and his vast knowledge for this new role within Stonehage Fleming. Hawthorne has more than 15 years’ experience in finance and treasury operations and dealing. He is joining from Atrium European Real Estate where he was group head of treasury. Prior to that, he was senior treasury manager at CPA Global and treasury manager at MatchesFashion.com. Morris joined Suntera Global in 2018 and was most recently a director within the firm’s Private Wealth division. She has more than 20 years’ experience in cross-border financial services and has worked in senior roles for a number of trust and professional services companies in Jersey. In particular, she has extensive knowledge of working with corporate clients as well as high net worth families. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute. Morris’s appointment coincides with a sizeable increase in Suntera’s book of corporate business, including in the real estate, natural resources and digital spaces; the latter is an area where the firm is anticipating increased growth this year, it said.
