Brown Shipley
, a Quintet Private Bank, has appointed Elizabeth Pindar (pictured) as a client advisor based in Leeds – the second client advisor to join the Leeds office in the past few months. She will report to Amir Bayram, Leeds-based client advisor.

Most recently Pindar served as an investment manager at LGT Wealth Management, managing portfolios for private clients, pensions and trusts. Earlier, she was an investment executive at Redmayne Bentley, where she managed HNWI client portfolios and was a member of strategic asset allocation, equities, fixed income and alternatives committees.

Pindar holds an honours degree in economics from the University of Newcastle and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Pindar is also involved in delivering financial education at local schools and has hosted numerous industry networking events.

“We are impressed by Elizabeth’s dedication to client service, financial education and building professional connections, which aligns with the approach we take across our business as we continue to grow sustainably,” Bayram said.

Evelyn Partners
UK-based wealth manager has appointed Alex Gersh (pictured below) as its new chief financial officer and an executive director, subject to regulatory approval. He will join Evelyn Partners at the end of April and will work with Scott Kirk, interim CFO, to ensure an orderly handover.

Alex Gersh

Gersh is replacing Andrew Baddeley, who served as group CFO since 2018 and became chief financial officer of S&W, Evelyn Partners’ former professional services business, following the completion of its sale last month, as reported here.

Gersh, a CFO, has more than 30 years’ experience and technical expertise in financial management. His diverse career spans senior leadership positions at both private equity backed and public companies across the UK and the US. Most recently, he was CFO of the New York Stock Exchange-listed global payments business Paysafe, in which CVC and Blackstone were major shareholders. Prior to that, Alex was CFO at Sportradar, the online sports betting provider Betfair through its merger with Paddy Power. Following that, he became the CFO of the combined group, Paddy Power Betfair (now Flutter), which is a former constituent of the UK’s FTSE 100 Index.

“Alex is a highly accomplished CFO who will be a fantastic addition to the leadership team at Evelyn Partners,” Paul Geddes, CEO of Evelyn Partners, said. “He joins us at a pivotal time for the business, which has recently undergone a significant strategic transformation to refocus the firm solely on wealth management where we see excellent growth opportunities.”

Equiom Group
, an international professional services firm with law at its core, has enhanced its go-to-market strategy with two key appointments: Philip Allen, chief marketing officer (CMO), and Steve Cornick, global head of marketing.

Allen, who has more than 20 years of international marketing and business development experience, has spent over eight years working at international and offshore professional services firm Ogier, where he was the firm's global business development director. He has led international teams of business development and marketing professionals across Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Asia. Allen is known for building brands, cultivating client relationships, and finding new ways for creating business growth.

Cornick was previously at Brand Spark, the consultancy he founded. With more than 25 years of experience in brand development and professional services marketing, he was integral in shaping the brand direction at Elian and Intertrust Group before its acquisition by CSC Global. Cornick is recognised for building brand awareness, building high-performing marketing teams and driving commercial results.

Together, Allen and Cornick will work towards enhancing the firm's commercial marketing and business development approach. Their expertise will help strengthen Mourant's global brand and reinforce its standing in offshore law, governance services and consulting, the firm said in a statement.

"We’re excited to welcome Philip and Steve to Mourant. They bring fresh ideas and a commitment to strong marketing and business development,” Jonathan Rigby, CEO of Mourant, said. “Their leadership will help us to build the strength of our brand in key markets and will support our client-centric approach to relationship management, as we continue to grow worldwide.”
