Jupiter Asset Management, which recently listed on the London Stock Exchange, has hired an emerging market funds specialist and will soon launch a fund for her to run. Kathryn Langridge will join Jupiter’s emerging markets funds desk in September from Lloyd George Asset Management, where she managed long-only emerging market strategies after joining that firm in 2007. Prior to that, she worked for 17 years at Invesco Perpetual with roles including Head of Asian Investments and Head of International Equity Products. She won a number of awards during her career at Invesco Perpetual, including the Lipper Citywire Fund Manager of the Year award for the Global Growth sector in 2005. The firm intends to expand its range of emerging markets products, which currently has around £1.2 billion (around $1.8 billion) in assets invested, with the launch of a global emerging markets fund for Langridge to manage, according to the report.
