Stonehage Group, the Jersey-headquartered multi-family office, has named David Reid Scott as non-executive chairman of its advisory business, which includes Stonehage Investment Partners and Stonehage Property Partners.

Reid Scott was up until last year chairman of the corporate advisory firm Hawkpoint Partners – a role he had held since 2001. He additionally served on the group executive committee of Collins Stewart between 2007 and 2009, and in his prior career was a founding partner of Pheonix Securities.

In another significant development at Stonehage this year, in February the firm launched a new Geneva-based business headed by Craig Anderson, latterly of JP Morgan, as director. The new business was launched to complement the existing SIP business in London, as the firm believes that going forward the Swiss city is particularly well-placed to attract high net worth individuals seeking investment management services.
