Private Wealth Management Head At Kleinwort Benson Steps Down
Tom Burroughes
5 January 2011
Martin Heale, head of private wealth management for Kleinwort Benson in London, is leaving the UK firm after five years at the business, this publication has learned. “Martin Heale has left Kleinwort Benson as of the end of 2010 to pursue new opportunities. We wish him every success as he further develops his career within the financial services industry,” according to a statement emailed to WealthBriefing. Before joining Kleinwort Benson in 2005, Heale worked at Barclays Private Bank. A long-established name in wealth management, Kleinwort Benson was sold last year by its German parent, Commerzbank, after the Frankfurt-listed bank was forced to dispose of non-domestic assets as a condition under European Union rules of receiving state aid. Last October, Sally Tennant, previously head of Lombard Odier in London, was taking up the post of chief executive at Kleinwort Benson in January to perform the same role in leading that firm’s private banking operations.
