Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has appointed Alberto Cejudo Podio as a financial advisor in Madrid, continuing a recent spate of hires in the EMEA region.

Cejudo Podio joins from Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild, where was a senior manager working with high and ultra high net worth Spaniards. Prior to this he was a senior advisor for Iberian clients at Sarasin Alen and before that deputy head of private banking for Andalucia and the southern Levant region at BNP Paribas Private Bank.

In his new role Cejudo Podio reports to Rafael Ximenez de Embun, Merrill’s market manager for the Iberia region.

Earlier this week Merrill announced that it had recruited Jeremy Brown from UBS to head up its investment solutions unit across EMEA. Brown, who was an equity derivatives trader at the Swiss bank, will now oversee the development, delivery and after sales support for the products and services offered by firm’s advisors across the region.
