First Republic Strengthens Private Wealth Team In Century City

First Republic Private Wealth Management, part of San Francisco-headquartered First Republic Bank, has appointed Oliver Campbell as a portfolio manager and managing director at its Century City, LA office. Campbell was previously a senior vice president, director of equity investments at City National Asset Management, where he worked for 10 years. Prior to that he served the Arizona State Retirement System and was an adjunct professor of finance at the American Graduate School of International Management. In his new role he will be responsible for equity and fixed-income management services for high net worth clients. First Republic PWM works with wealthy individuals and families, foundations and endowments. First Republic has hired over a dozen senior financial planners in the past year in its drive to expand coverage of HNW individuals. In an exclusive interview with Katherine August-deWilde, chief operating officer of the bank, by this publication (see here), August-deWilde said that the bank would continue hiring in its core markets of San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Portland and San Diego.
