Celent, a division of Oliver Wyman that works with sectors such as wealth management, has appointed Craig Weber to replace Mike Harding as its chief executive.

Under the change, Harding, who has been CEO since 2009 - shortly after Oliver Wyman bought Celent - is resuming his responsibilities at the parent firm but retains his role as Celent’s chairman, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

Weber has been a senior vice president, with global responsibility for Celent's Insurance division, since 2007. In recent years, he led the team's expansion in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He joined the firm in 2002.
