Quintessentially, the global concierge, has named a new Hong Kong chief as part of its drive to expand in the region, WealthBriefingAsia has exclusively learned.

Fiona Foxon started in the newly-created role this week, reporting to Emma Sherrard Matthews, global chief executive. She joined Quintessentially in 2010 from boutique financial services firm ICS Trust (Asia), where she was an account executive managing private clients. Before that she worked at a Shanghai-based social philanthropy firm, Ventures in Development.

She is tasked with further growing the corporate portfolio in the high growth region. "Fiona has expanded the corporate portfolio at Quintessentially to include a wealth of industry leaders within the luxury automotive sector, telecommunications sector, private and retail banks and property developers," Sherrard Matthews said. Corporates are keen to differentiate in an ever more competitive environment, and many are signing up to firms like Quintessentially to provide an added perk for their high net worth clients.

Sherrard Matthews told this publication in an interview last year that Asia and the Middle East were the firm's fastest growing regions, a factor behind the firm's decision to relocate her to Hong Kong last year.

The firm is expanding in China and planning to open offices in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. It recently opened a New Zealand office. "We’ll also be working on growing our portfolio of sister businesses, with a focus on Quintessentially Travel and Quintessentially Gifts in Hong Kong," she added.
