Greg Mattiko is due to step down from his post as emerging market equity manager at JP Morgan Asset Management at the end of the month, a spokesperson for the firm has confirmed to WealthBriefing. As a result of Mattiko’s departure, changes within the firm’s emerging markets team include Amit Mehta taking charge of the $229.2 million Small Cap fund, and Leon Eidelman assuming responsibility for the GEM Discovery fund. Meanwhile, all bottom-up strategies will be supervised by Austin Forey, who continues to manage the GEM Focused Strategy fund, while Phillip Fan remains as an analyst for small caps. The firm also said it is in the process of adding another analyst to support small cap research and does not anticipate any significant changes within the portfolios themselves. Mattiko, who has worked at JP Morgan for over eight years, took charge of the firm’s Emerging Markets Small Cap fund in 2007 and also ran the GEM Discovery fund.
