UK-listed broking and private wealth management firm has appointed Robert Race as head of wealth management to its Manchester office.

Race stepped down as head of Brewin Dolphin's Manchester office in September after 13 years.

He will lead the existing team in Manchester and will focus on further developing the company's private wealth management business in the North West, WH Ireland said in a statement.

He has over 30 years of experience and before Brewin Dolphin was at its predecessor Charlton Seal Dimmock & Co and Wise Speke.

"I'm delighted to welcome Robert to WH Ireland's Manchester office.  He brings substantial experience managing money and advising private clients. I expect him to play a key role in growing our private client proposition,” said Richard Killingbeck, chief executive of WH Ireland Group.
