Abu Dhabi Bank Names New Private Head For North UAE

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has appointed Hashim Al Zarooni as the regional head of private banking in the Northern Emirates.

Mr Zarooni will be based in Dubai and report to division head Abdullah Abdulrahman. He will be engaged in private banking and wealth management services and developing Shariah compliant products designed specifically to suit high net worth individuals.

Mr Zarooni joined the bank in 1999 and was previously involved in the operations, credit, investment, foreign trade and consumer finance divisions. In 2003, he was appointed manager of the bank’s branch in Deira, the historical centre of Dubai.

Abu Dhabi Islamic’s private banking division provides financial services to high net worth individuals who wish to build their wealth and protect their assets in a Shariah compliant manner.

The bank was established in 1997 and carries out all contracts, operations and transactions in accordance with Islamic Shariah principles.
