Advent Software, the US-based wealth management software firm, has appointed Hazem Elmalla as its new head of professional services in the Middle East and North Africa.

Elmalla will be responsible for the professional services team and supporting regional expansion. He has worked at Advent for more than 10 years, out of which five years focused on the MENA region.

The company has been active in the region for the past seven years and is established in the Dubai International Finance Centre. The services team in MENA has doubled in the last two years as the business has grwon, said Håkan Valberg, senior vice president and general manager.

In other recent developments, last month Advent Software rolled out Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX) 4 - the newest version of its portfolio management software. APX aims to streamline operations and enhance access to data across a firm. With the new version of its product, Advent has now introduced customisable dashboard capabilities, which it said offers an “entirely new way for everyone in the firm to select and personalise the information they need to perform their jobs.”
