BNY Mellon Names New CEO For Wealth Arm
BNY Mellon has named
Lawrence Hughes as chief executive of
BNY Mellon Wealth Management.
Hughes was previously the president of US Markets for BNY Mellon
Wealth and has been with the company for 19 years. His past
roles include those of chief operating officer for the
private wealth management unit and executive director for the
same unit's eastern US operations. He takes over from
David F Lamere, who has resigned, and will report to
Robert P Kelly, BNY Mellon's chairman and CEO.
The firm has made a number of appointments recently on the east and west coasts of the US. For example, BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Gary Rzucidlo as vice president and senior sales director for its Atlanta office; it also made two appointments in Los Angeles. It has also appointed veteran banker Edgar Murcia to manage its private banking business California, Nevada and the Pacific Northwest, and promoted Carolyn Kozlowski to the newly-created role of national escrow sales manager in Pittsburgh.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management oversees $157 billion in private
client offices in the US. Worldwide, it has $22.4 trillion in
assets under custody and administration and operates in 34
countries.
