BZ Bank Appoints New President, Reports Strong Profits

BZ Bank, a predominately private bank based in Wilen, Switzerland, with strong links to the controversial Swiss financier Martin Ebner, reported a 170 per cent rise in net profit for the year to November 30 to SFr18.1 million ($14 million). The bank also appointed a new president, Manuel Ebner, nephew of the bank’s founder, Martin Ebner. The bank said it attracted SFr351 million of new money during the year. Securities in custody rose 59 per cent to SFr3.5 billion, including SFr157 million in two funds managed by the bank's subsidiary, BZ Fund Management. The bank is 60 per cent-owned by Rosmarie and Martin Ebner.
