Baillie Gifford Expands Sales Team

Scottish investment manager Baillie Gifford & Co has added Scott Mackenzie to their sales team as a regional sales manager. Mr Mackenzie’s team covers the Essex, Kent and Sussex areas and he will be based in Kent.

He joins the company from GMAC-RFC where he has been a regional sales executive since 2004, holding responsibility for business development in the South East London area and growing it into one of the highest producing areas for GMAC in the country.

Mr Mackenzie will report to Ken Edwards, sales and marketing manager at Baillie Gifford.

The company had £43 billion ($54.9 billion) of funds under management and advice at 31 December 2008.

In September 2008, the firm won new mandates worth more than £700 million (about $1.25 billion) in fixed income from several blue chip clients such as John Lewis, Cheshire County Council and a large FTSE 100 company.
