Banque J Safra Sarasin Adds To Madrid Team
The bank is cranking up its Spanish presence, having announced its new office in Madrid a few days ago.
Banque J Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg), which recently
opened a new branch in Spain, has appointed Belén Ríos to lead
its institutional and wholesale distribution business in
Spain.
Belén Ríos will grow the institutional and wholesale business for
the Iberian market. With more than 20 years of experience, she
comes from 15 years in Amundi Iberia where she was head of
institutional sales among other roles. Prior to that, she worked
for Cortefiel Group (Tendam) as head of investor relations, and
in the private bank of Morgan Stanley SV SA in Spain.
The new office (see
story here), which is located in Madrid, will focus on
clients domiciled in Spain, both in the field of private banking
and institutional clients. The branch is led by Francisco
Gomez-Trenor, who reports to Jules Moor, chief executive of
Banque J Safra Sarasin (Luxembourg). The new branch offers all
MiFID regulated investment services.
Groups such as Barclays, Julius Baer and Deutsche Bank have been
building up their private banking and wealth operations in Spain.
