Barings Boosts Senior Sales Team

International investment management firm Barings has appointed Matthew Finch as sales director, UK retail distribution.

Mr Finch joins Barings’ London team at the beginning of February and will report to Rod Aldridge, head of UK retail distribution.  In his new role Mr Finch will be responsible for developing Barings’ business relationships with UK platforms, financial advisors and international life companies.

“Following the appointment of Carl Wilmore in October last year, we now have a strong senior sales team in place to communicate Barings’ range of highly regarded funds to the UK retail market,” said Mr Aldridge.

Having previously held the position of head of direct sales force relationship at SLC Asset Management, Mr Finch’s most recent role was that of business development manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management,  responsible for retail sales in the southern UK region.

Baring Asset Management, which is part of the MassMutual Financial Group, provides services for private clients, retail investors and institutions worldwide.  At 31 October Barings’ assets under management stood at $30.78 billion.
