Bedrock Appoints Managing Director To Fund Arm

The investment and advisory firm has made a senior appointment as part of its efforts to further build its funds business.

Bedrock has hired Patrick Lachotzki as head of business development and managing director of its fund management business, a newly-created role.

Lachotzki joins from BlueBay Asset Management, where he helped raise assets and build the brand across the Benelux region, Canada and the US. Most recently, he was the firm’s head of sales, European financial institutions. He previously worked at Citigroup Global Markets as assistant vice president in the equities team.

The London-based appointment comes shortly after Bluebay partnered with Canadian asset manager Fiera to launch the 20 UGS (UCITS) Funds Fiera Global Equity fund.

Bedrock also has offices in Geneva and Monaco. It will soon have one in Zurich, where it focuses on wealth and asset management. It also operates as a multi-family office and provider of IT services to the wealth management industry.

“Patrick brings with him a proven track record of growing assets through winning mandates and negotiating distribution partnerships. He will play a key role in Bedrock’s ambitious plans to grow its business over the coming years, whilst maintaining our commitment to exceptional client service,” said Ariel Arazi, managing partner of Bedrock.

Bedrock, which has around 100 employees, oversees over $9 billion of client assets.
