Brooks Macdonald Breaks Billion Barrier

Brooks Macdonald, the AIM-listed discretionary asset management and financial advisory firm, announced that funds under management totalled £1.05 billion ($2.04 billion) as at 31 December 2007. Funds under management increased from £751 million a year earlier and were up 7 per cent over the last quarter, exceeding the targets set at the firm's AIM listing in 2005. Headquartered in London, Brooks Macdonald has subsequently opened further offices in Winchester and Manchester and built up a specialist team of intermediary sales managers. “I am thrilled we have broken through the £1 billion threshold. It is a significant milestone in our company’s history," said chief executive Chris Macdonald. Interim results are due to be released on the 14 March.
