New York-based CAIS, the alternatives investment platform provider, has added private equity to its product offering in a joint venture with Partners Group, the global private markets investment management firm.

Through CAIS, advisors will have access to a global private equity portfolio, including direct, secondary and primary private equity investments. These will be diversified across industries, regions and “vintage years,” the firm said.

CAIS said the addition of private equity to its platform reflects the “growing alternatives needs of its expanding global client base.” For example, in March, it added precious metals to its product offering as part of a joint venture with Gold Bullion International.

Switzerland-headquartered Partners Group has $25 billion in investment programs under management, with offices in New York, San Francisco, CA, São Paulo, London, Guernsey, Paris, Luxembourg, Munich, Dubai, Singapore, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo and Sydney.
