Canadian Wealth Manager Hires Blackmont CEO For Senior Role

Gluskin Sheff + Associates, the Canadian wealth management firm that serves high net worth and institutional investors, has appointed Bruce Kagan as vice president for risk management.
Kagan was previously the chief executive of Blackmont Capital, which has operations in the wealth management and capital markets. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Macquarie Private Wealth, after Blackmont became part of Macquarie Group in January 2010. He brings 20 years of investment industry experience to his new role.
At his new firm, Kagan will focus on wealth and risk management services across equity, fixed income, and alternative asset classes. He is based in Toronto.
Gluskin Sheff specializes in equity and fixed income portfolios, and other alternative investments for the ultra rich. The company says the minimum investment to become a client is $3 million.
