Citigroup Appoints Ex-Goldman's Figure As Head Of Lending

The lending platform at the bank is an "essential part" of its strategy, the head of its wealth business said.
Citigroup has
appointed former senior Goldman Sachs figure Anne McCosker as
head of lending for the US bank’s wealth business.
Previously, McCosker worked for nine years at Goldman Sachs, most
recently as global head of private bank lending and origination.
“Our lending platform is an essential part of our strategy and
has long been a critical service that we provide for
sophisticated clients with complex and global needs. Anne is an
innovative and versatile industry leader in the credit, lending
and deposits businesses who will advance this effort. She brings
a strong track record running end-to-end lending and deposits
businesses, leading teams and implementing growth strategies
across multiple geographies,” Andy Sieg, head of wealth, said
according to a memo seen by this news service.
McCosker joined Goldmans in 2015 as head of Asia private
international lending and deposits, before becoming chief
operating officer for the global private bank, and co-head of the
US private bank, and then co-head of the global private bank. She
has also worked at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, and
for ANZ in Australia.
The new appointment takes effect from January; McCosker will be
based in New York. Until then, Gaston Echeverria is acting as
interim head of lending.
