Citigroup’s Smith Barney unit has hired two brokers from UBS Wealth Management in the US. The two – Robert Jacobs and Philip Byrne – reputedly manage more than $400 million in client assets for ultra-high net worth individuals, according to a Dow Jones Newswires report. Both will be based in California and will join a team of 40 financial advisors. Mr Jacobs joins as a member of the director's council, Smith Barney's recognition club for high-producing brokers.
