Deutsche Bank Bolstered Birmingham Office In Q2

Deutsche Bank’s wealth management and private bank brought in fresh blood to its office in Birmingham, UK, with four hires during the second quarter.
Germany's largest bank appointed Max Edwards, Nitin Khanna, Adam Turner and Tim Shawcross, all as vice presidents and relationship managers. Edwards reports to Clive Bullock, director of financial intermediaries, and the others to Miles Robinson, head of the Birmingham office.
Edwards focuses on developing intermediary relationships in the region. Earlier in his career, he helped build the intermediary units of UBS Wealth Management, Barings and Close Brothers.
Khanna works with business development and relationship management within the Asian market in the Midlands. He started out in retail banking and NRI banking for a few international banks such as ICICI and HSBC Private Bank.
Turner and Shawcross work with the “direct client” team. Turner began his career as a corporate finance advisor with Arthur Andersen and then worked in the acquisition finance teams of Bank of Ireland and Investec Private Bank. He latterly worked in Investec's Private Client team in London. Shawcross just returned to the UK after five years in the Middle East, where he worked for Coutts & Co and Julius Baer. Before that, he was with HSBC in London for 18 years.
During the second quarter, the asset and wealth management division of Deutsche Bank reported a 9 per cent year-on-year rise in net revenues, standing at €976 million (around $1.41 billion).
