Former Reyl Senior Figure Returns
As well as having worked at Reyl before, the new CEO of the Reyl Overseas business has had career stints at UBS, ABN AMRO, LGT and Credit Suisse.
Reyl Overseas, part of the Swiss banking group Reyl Intesa
Sanpaolo, has brought back senior figure Roger Groebli as its
chief executive. He had previously been the firm's CEO from 2012
to 2015.
Groebli, who is based in Zurich, will, among other things,
develop the wealth management services for US clients, the firm
said in a statement yesterday.
Groebli has more than 35 years’ experience in securities trading,
portfolio management, research and advisory in private banking.
As a financial analyst, he is a former strategist for Asian
equities and head of equity research at ABN AMRO Private Banking
based in Singapore. He is also prospecting and building
relationships with HNW clients across three continents (Asia,
Europe and North America). He has gained experience at UBS, ABN
AMRO, LGT and at Credit Suisse recently as head of private
banking for North Asia.
“US private individuals who seek the services of
Reyl Overseas have a strong financial culture. Roger
Groebli’s expertise in the US market as well as management skills
are a real asset to continue growing our business and offering,
so we can reach the next stage of our development," Lorenzo
Rocco di Torrepadula, head of wealth management and partner of
Reyl Intesa Sanpaolo, said. “Roger has extensive knowledge
of Reyl from his past experience with us and we are happy to
welcome him back.”
With a degree from St Gallen Business School, Roger Groebli
pursued postgraduate studies in banking and finance at Zurich’s
Swiss Finance Institute, graduating in both the executive and
advanced executive programmes. He also completed a private
banking certification programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau,
France.
