Data helps make the wealth management world go round and keeping it clean and accessible is crucial, explaining a product partnership deal announced last week.

Los Angeles-headquartered InvestCloud, the fintech firm serving a raft of financial institutions including private banks and family offices, has linked hands with a back-office solutions company to improve how they use custodial data and keep it clean.

The firm has partnered with Back Office Support Service, aka BOSS, to launch Synergy, a solution that marries InvestCloud’s digital platform with BOSS’s data cleansing capabilities. Investors and managers can keep data up to date and accurate so they can make smarter decisions with superior information. BOSS is also headquartered in southern California.

The product partnership makes use of InvestCloud’s data management, such as its InvestCloud Digital Warehouse, which pulls together millions of pieces of content daily through application programming interfaces (which help different computer systems to talk to one another).

Data types affected by the partnership include everything from portfolio information to market data, news and social media feeds.

“Financial services are underpinned by data. The need for clear, accurate and up-to-date data is more important now than ever. The industry has relied for far too long on siloed information – an issue that InvestCloud is dedicated to tackling through our Digital Warehouse. Our partnership with BOSS adds additional cloud-sourced services to the Digital Warehouse, bringing data management forward and enabling managers to do more for their clients,” Yaela Shamberg, chief product officer at InvestCloud, said.

Users can buy Synergy as a standalone function from the InvestCloud App Store, or integrated with other apps supported by InvestCloud’s Digital Platform.
