Irwin Mitchell's Financial Planning Arm Names New CEO

The new CEO is taking the helm from a man who has served in the role for two decades, raising it from a startup to a business with about 75 people.
Irwin Mitchell’s financial planning business IM Asset Management
Limited has appointed wealth manager Stewart Sanderson as its new
CEO.
Sanderson is taking over from Richard Pott, who has retired.
Sanderson’s appointment is subject to regulatory clearance,
Irwin
Mitchell said in a statement yesterday.
Prior to this role, Sanderson was a senior director and head of
the UK private client proposition for Brooks Macdonald.
In total, Sanderson has more than 25 years’ experience of UK
wealth management at firms such as Seven Investment Management,
Lloyds Private Banking and Coutts & Co. He has also developed and
led other private client businesses across London, Edinburgh, and
Jersey.
IM Asset Management has about £1.2 billion ($1.5 billion) in
assets under management. Its clients include those who have
received damages following serious injuries as well as high net
worth clients from sporting and business backgrounds.
Potts led IM Asset Management Limited for 20 years, taking it
from a startup business to one with about 75 colleagues.
In January IM Asset Management appointed Lynzi Harrison as a new
non-executive director.
