JP Morgan Private Bank has created a new role to lure Kate Moore from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
The Wall Street firm has appointed Moore as chief investment strategist of its private bank, reporting to Richard Madigan, chief investment officer of JP Morgan Private Bank.
Based in New York, Moore will be working closely with Madigan and the investment committee to help determine investment strategy and make tactical asset allocation decisions for high and ultra high net worth clients.
Madigan said that markets have become “increasingly complex to navigate,” and that clients rely on their wealth managers to provide expert knowledge and translate that into their portfolios.
Moore was previously global equity strategist at BofA Merrill Lynch. She joined the firm in 2009 after having been an emerging markets strategist for Moore Capital Management, before which she was at Morgan Stanley.
