There is a new London-based business development director for the international financial centre.
William McGilivray has been appointed as Jersey Finance’s London business development director. He succeeds Richard Nunn, who has moved within Jersey Finance to become business development director in the Middle East.
In his new role, McGilivray will be the main representative for Jersey Finance in London with responsibility for identifying opportunities and building relationships between Jersey and the City. He will also be tasked with supporting member firms with their private wealth management, funds and capital markets growth strategies.
McGilivray has enjoyed a 20-year career in the financial services industry, working with Wellington Management and Curian Capital in Boston before moving to London in 2008. Since then he has worked as a vice president at Northern Trust in wealth and programme management before spending two years as a director at the Bedell Group.
Since being founded as a non-profit organisation in 2001, Jersey Finance has opened offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well as representation in London, Mumbai and Delhi.
