Jupiter Hires Distribution Head From Columbia Threadneedle

Jupiter has appointed Nick Ring to lead its distribution globally.

UK-based investment house Jupiter has hired Columbia Threadneedle's Nick Ring as its new global head of distribution.

Ring will take on the role formerly held by Simon Hynes, who left last July after a 12-year career at Jupiter.

Ring, who brings 27 years' experience in the investment industry, will join in September from his position as global head of product at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He previously held various senior roles at Northern Trust, including chief operating officer, managing director and head of international wealth management services.

In his new role, Ring will sit on the executive committee and help build Jupiter's presence in new and existing markets. He will be based in London.

“Nick has broad experience in the asset management industry, leading numerous strategic initiatives throughout his career in roles covering distribution, product innovation, marketing and commercial strategy,” said Jupiter's chief executive, Maarten Slendebroek.

“This experience dovetails well with the expertise we already have in-house and we are delighted to have attracted someone of his calibre to the company.”
