London Property Lawyers Build Private Client Team
William Edwards is joining the private client team of property law specialists Pemberton Greenish, based in Knightsbridge in west London. Mr Edwards joins from City-based Penningtons and reports to Pemberton’s partners.
Mr Edwards' expertise is in tax planning, wealth protection, administration of estates, drafting of wills, the drafting and management of trusts and applications through the Court of Protection.
He is the second addition to the team this year. In March, Charles King-Farlow joined from Birmingham law firm Martineau. His new employers told WealthBriefing on Thursday that they are ready to make further hires to enhance their private client service.
Pemberton Greenish, which focuses on landed family and charity estates, was founded by nine partners who left Bath-based private lawyers Lee & Pembertons at the beginning of the decade. They also offer services to private clients in areas of UK and international tax planning, trusts, wills and the operation of UK and offshore investment vehicles.
The firm’s London office services a number of high profile clients, including the Cadogan Estate and the Sloane Stanley Estate in Chelsea, and the Day Estate in South Kensington.
The firm's lawyers also support the residential portfolio team of the Crown Estate and were recently re-appointed to do so for the next three years. The estate is part of the hereditary possessions of the UK monarchy and is valued at over £7 billion ($11.3 billion).
