Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse) is planning to launch a joint venture with Erickson Capital Management to offer hedge funds to clients with at least $20 million, according to Le Temps. The Geneva-based operation will offer managed accounts, tailored to a client's needs in terms of risk, return, exposure, strategy and liquidity. It will use 15 to 25 third-party hedge fund managers. Fees will be negotiable but will be based on those charged by funds of funds. Erickson Capital Management was founded by Jeffrey Erickson who was formerly head of alternative asset management at Mirabaud & Cie in Geneva.
