Morgan Stanley Nabs Former Merrill Advisor In Florida

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management has hired Victor Camara - latterly of Bank of America Merrill Lynch - as an advisor in Miami, Florida, Reuters reports.

Camara had been at Merrill for over 10 years and managed around $200 million in client assets, the news service said, citing "a recruiter with knowledge of the move."

Morgan Stanley had not responded to a request from this publication to comment on the move in time for publication; Reuters said the firm confirmed it.

In a similar move earlier last month, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management confirmed that it has brought in a trio of financial advisors from Merrill in California.

Nikesh Kadakia, Joseph Pastore and Kirk Snyder joined in El Segundo. They previously had annual revenue production of nearly $1.3 million.

In fact the firm has made a number of hires so far this year, kicking off 2013 by adding three advisors from Merrill Lynch and UBS in New Jersey, and going on to bolster its teams in Florida and New Jersey with five advisors from UBS.

It then hired a financial advisor from Wells Fargo and an advisory team from JP Morgan, in Pueblo, CO, and New York respectively.
