Bank of Scotland International has launched a new website to give offshore financial services advice to expatriates and those considering a move overseas. Customers can download application forms and supporting product brochures and there is a “resource centre” where they can download information about important aspects of offshore financial life. The bank carried out research last year which highlighted the need for a well resourced, clear and easily navigable website for offshore investors. “It has become an increasing trend for our customers to run their financial lives online and our research showed that they needed our website to be easier to navigate, as well as feeling safe and secure while doing so,” said David Ogilvie, head of sales, marketing and products at Bank of Scotland International. "We have listened to what our existing customers had to say and thought carefully about the growing needs of new customers. These views have been reflected in both the design and functionality of our new site, which mirrors the different key stages in an expatriate lifestyle. Information on banking, savings, financial planning, offshore mortgages and investments is easily accessed and clearly set out reflecting these stages, such as moving abroad for the first time, living and working abroad, property and investment options offshore and onshore as well as retirement planning.” Bank of Scotland International operates from Jersey and the Isle of Man.
