Offshore Law Firm Appoints Head Of New Mauritius Office

Conyers Dill & Pearman, the law firm based in offshore locations such as the Cayman Islands, said it has appointed Craig Fulton as head of its recently-opened office in Mauritius.
Mr Fulton will focus on generating business in the burgeoning markets of India and Southern Africa.
His appointment follows Conyers' formal launch of its Mauritius practice in June, when Mauritius law was amended to allow foreign law firms to establish there. In July, Conyers bolstered its Mauritian presence in London with the addition of Devalingum Gopalla, and also has a dedicated team of Mauritius-qualified lawyers in Dubai and Mauritius capability in its Hong Kong and Singapore offices.
Conyers Dill & Pearman is a multi-jurisdictional law firm that advises on the laws of Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Mauritius. The firm, which was launched in 1928, specialises in company and commercial law, commercial litigation and private client matters.
