Old Mutual Wealth To Purchase Financial Planning Firm
The merger and acquisition trend in UK wealth management continues to roll on.
UK-based Old
Mutual Wealth has agreed to acquire Shropshire-based
Infiniti Financial Planning for an undisclosed sum. Infiniti,
which provides financial advice to around 700 households, will
combine with Old Mutual Wealth's newly-acquired Premier, a
Midlands-based financial planning company, to form the
Birmingham office of Old Mutual Wealth Private Client
Advisers.
The acquisition will see three advisors and additional support
staff join Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers from
Infiniti.
Kevin Speake, managing director of Infiniti, will become a
regional director with the firm.
“I look forward to working with Kevin and his colleagues as we
bring together two exceptional financial planning businesses,
Infiniti and Premier, to become part of Old Mutual Wealth Private
Client Advisers, said Nigel Speirs, managing director of Old
Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers.
“At the same time I’m also really pleased we have been able to
support the growth and development of new talent in the financial
planning sector by giving five newly-qualified financial advisors
a route into the industry," he added.
Old Mutual Wealth is part of UK/South Africa-listed Old Mutual.
