Progeny Names New Singapore Chief Executive

While headquartered in the UK, the business has a Singapore presence.
Progeny, a UK-based
firm blending financial planning, asset management, tax, HR, and
private and corporate legal services, has appointed a new CEO for
its Singapore office.
Chris Guy (pictured), who has worked at large firms such as
Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and Citibank, is
replacing Huw Wedlock, who is returning to the UK, a
spokesperson for the firm confirmed to this
publication.
Guy, who began his career in London, has been based in the
Asia-Pacific region for almost 20 years, working in chief
operating officer, country and regional management roles.
“Developing and growing our presence Singapore is a fundamental
part of our global growth ambitions as we build out our
international business,” Neil Moles, CEO of Progeny, said.
In February, Progeny appointed Tom Wood as chief financial
officer.
The firm dates back to 1981. Following a management buyout in 2008, and a rebrand, the Progeny name entered the field in 2014, and officially launched as a firm under that name – spanning a variety of sectors – in 2016. It has acquired almost 30 firms in recent years, most recently Manchester-based Chartered Wealth Management in late January 2024.
