Reliance Financial Appoints New President, CEO Of Trust Division

The Atlanta-based wealth management firm Reliance Financial Corporation has appointed William Harlow as president of Reliance Trust Company.
Harlow, executive vice president at RFC, is also director of retirement strategies at the Georgia-based trust subsidiary. In the president role he succeeds Anthony Guthrie, who retired on 1 January.
Meanwhile, James Maxwell, who is currently chairman, chief executive and president of Reliance Financial, as well as chairman of Reliance Trust, will assume the additional role of CEO at Reliance Trust, the firm said in a statement.
In other changes, Christopher Teevan, executive vice president of Reliance Trust and president of its operations services, will succeed Guthrie as chief operating officer for both Reliance Financial and Reliance Trust.
In addition, Bryant Jones, president of Reliance Integrated Solutions - which is a subsidiary of Reliance Financial - is to take up the role of chief administrative officer, while Christopher Pitrof, senior vice president of administration and finance, will succeed Jerry Dawson as the firm’s chief financial officer.
Dawson is due to retire this year, but will continue with the company in the chairman’s office, the firm said.
In other recent news, Reliance Financial was granted approval for a Delaware charter for its limited purpose trust unit - Reliance Trust Company of Delaware - in December last year. The firm also added Richard Curcio and Ward Curtis to its board of directors later that month.
Reliance Financial has over $88 billion in assets under management and administration.
