Rowan Dartington Names Two New Investment Managers

The UK wealth manager hopes to further develop business in Leeds and Ipswich with the hires.

Rowan Dartington has appointed Luke Pearce and Alex Boyle as investment managers as part of its national growth drive.

Pearce, previously an investment manager at Brewin Dolphin, brings experience of working with high net worth individuals and charities. He will represent Rowan Dartington from St James’s Place’s office in Leeds. The company was acquired by fellow wealth manager St James’s Place for £34 million last year.

In East Anglia, Boyle joins after seven years as a senior investment manager at Hawksmoor Investment Management. He has over 30 years’ industry experience in a number of roles ranging from fund manager to investment writer and discretionary private client portfolio manager. He will be based in the company’s new branch in Ipswich.

In the newly-created roles, the pair will serve private clients and offer wealth management services supporting St James’s Place partners.

“We have ambitious plans for Rowan Dartington in the UK following our acquisition by St James’s Place earlier this year and these new hires are part of a series of objectives we have set for the firm,” said Rowan Dartington’s executive chairman, Graham Coxell.

“Attracting talented investment managers like Luke and Alex is a sign that the firm is in a very good place at the moment. Their extensive experience working with private clients and managing investment portfolios will be key to our development in Leeds and Ipswich.”

The recruits come weeks after Rowan Dartington hired three investment managers in London, Manchester and Liverpool, an equity research analyst in London and a stockbroker in Bristol.

The company is responsible for over £1.4 billion ($1.8 billion) in client assets.
