SKAGEN, the Scandinavian-based fund management house, has appointed Erik Bergöö as a new portfolio manager, taking effect from 1 September this year.

Joining from Danske Bank Markets in Copenhagen, Bergöö was a senior analyst covering transportation and industrials. Previously, Bergöö was a senior analyst at DNB Markets and covered Nordic industrials, global container and shipping companies.

Earlier in his career, he spent one year in Singapore to learn about Asian markets. During his time at Pareto Securities, Bergöö worked in the equity market team covering global shipping and global oil service stocks. Before this, he worked for Fidelity Investments in London, where he covered European equities.

Bergöö will join the SKAGEN Vekst portfolio management team of Ole Søeberg, Geir Tjetland, and Alexander Stensrud.

“He has a solid knowledge of industrials, transportation and oil service companies in the Nordic region in particular, but also on a global scale through his research,” said Søeberg.
