Sanlam, the South African insurer and investment manager, has boosted its UK IFA distribution team with a pair of top-level hires, Money Marketing reports.

Rick Eling has been named UK head of IFA investments, while Chris Allatt has been appointed UK senior technical consultant, the publication said.

Eling latterly held the role of investment solutions manager at Buckles Investment Services – a firm owned by Sanlam - and Allatt joins from Canada Life, where he was a senior tax consultant and manager.

Sanlam’s IFA distribution department was launched earlier this year.

The firm had not responded to enquiries from WealthBriefing on the matter at the time of publication.
